Final Thoughts on Eternal Diamonds
Eternal Diamonds is a flashy, vibrant Las Vegas-themed release that tries to rely on its theme and its classic setup to create a compelling game. However, as mentioned before, most of it feels very uninspired, trying to mix modern visuals with old-school gameplay but failing at both. Visually, we hope you like neon colors and golden decoration, as that is most of the game, almost as if Pragmatic Play wanted the game to look luxurious and fancy, which also makes it quite forgettable. But that’s how it is with many Las Vegas-themed releases, and we wish we had seen something different to make it stand out, as seen with releases like Vegas is Dead: Battle Arena, Benji Killed in Vegas, or Invading Vegas.
When it comes to gameplay, Eternal Diamonds is all about its 3-Pot bonus game in the form of its Chip Respins feature. While there are also Wilds, they’re so common in the industry that we’re not really sure if we should even count them as a feature, as, in this game, they’re just there for the base game paylines anyway, and the paytable is already pretty weak. So, Chip Respins is given the spotlight, which is, at best, an okay bonus game, as its Chip Bonuses are not very interesting, except for one. The Red Expanding Modifier is a surprising and fun minigame that deviates from regular spins and can be very exciting as you grow the minigame playing grid, albeit with the caveat that it is very slow, which can stop a lot of momentum and lead to a loss of interest. At the end of the day, Eternal Diamonds is for a special audience that loves a combination of classic gameplay and 3-pot mechanics, but, for us, it is a disappointing release that doesn’t have much to keep us engaged.
