Dragon Power Triple Gold is, more or less, an upgraded version of the original Dragon Power game released 7 years prior. However, for a game released in 2026, we wouldn’t exactly say it looks or plays like a modern slot. At a glance, we think that Dragon Power Triple Gold could easily fool you into thinking it’s a game released years prior. We’re not quite sure whether it's laziness or Atomic Slot Lab just really wants to nail home that old-school aesthetic, but, at least in our eyes, it doesn’t look great. While we are all for upgraded sequels to old classics, Dragon Power Triple Gold may look different from its original prequel. Still, both it and Dragon Power 10,000 Ways just don’t hold up to what we would consider today’s standards, visually, that is.
If we look at features, this game offers nearly the same feature line-up as the original 2019 release, with the loss of features like the random Golden Orb Reel bonus. We actually don’t mind the reusing of the same foundation, as it was already a fun, slightly chaotic, feature fest back then, and it is the same now. But that’s only if you look at this game like a modern version of an old classic, as, in a modern vacuum, we wouldn’t really say it’s surviving in the ring with today’s games and features. The biggest crime the Dragon Power series commits is that it is quite a messy game, with multiple Orb Symbols that kinda just do the same thing, leaving players confused and less engaged. This is something we wish we had seen Atomic Slot Lab improve upon, but, as we said earlier, it might just have come down to laziness. All in all, Dragon Power Triple Gold is a game that we really wanted to be good, and not just feel like a half-assed remake, but, even so, we do believe old-school enjoyers can find some fun spins here.
