Crystal Wolf Lightning Chase has an interesting look with edgy symbols. In some way, they look futuristic and outdated at the same time. The mysterious sounds, sometimes interrupted by a howling wolf, are also something different from most slots. Players of previous Lightning Chase games might feel like something’s missing here. Crystal Wolf has the Hold & Respin feature just like the other ones, but it lacks a free spins feature that Lady Merlin Lightning Chase and Temple Frenzy Lightning Chase have.

The Hold & Respin is one of our favourite features besides traditional free spins. It’s a true nailbiter watching the reels spin, hoping to land a coin for the spins to reset. It can sometimes be annoying with all coins on the grid, though, since they’re not worth anything if they’re less than 6. However, there’s one exception to that rule: if a collect symbol lands on the first reel. It barely happened while we were playing the game, though.

Unfortunately, the RTP of 95.70% is a little low, just as in several of the other Lightning Chase games. As a rule of thumb, games with an RTP lower than 96% should be very exciting or well-constructed to be worth playing.
