Introduction to Charge Bison

Charge Bison is a casino slot from TaDa Gaming that delivers on a classic theme with an even more classic feature line-up. Buffalo- and bison-themed slots have been around for decades and have deep roots in the industry. While we don’t see as many of them as we would maybe a decade ago, we still see a few pop up every now and then, especially from TaDa Gaming. While the studio usually prefers buffaloes in their games, as seen with Charge Buffalo-Ascent in 2024 and 3 Charge Buffalo in 2025, TaDa Gaming has decided to move on to bisons, as this game is actually a reskin of the 2021 release, Charge Buffalo. This is quite apparent as soon as you start up the game, as we have gotten a few new graphical updates, with a handful of new animals as paying symbols, but sadly, Charge Bison suffers from the same fate of its original release, that being, a lack of features. Like many other classic-type games, Charge Bison comes with a standard Wild Symbol and Free Spins combo, where the positives are Multiplier Wilds and a chance of hitting a lucrative 100 Spins reward, to help you on the hunt for the max win of 5,000X the bet.

Theme, Gameplay, & Payouts

Charge Bison is a video slot from TaDa Gaming with 6 Reels, 4 Rows, and 4,096 ways to win. You can choose between making a Min.bet of 0.2 and a Max.bet of 200. Charge Bison comes with a higher-than-average RTP of 97%medium/high volatility, and a max win of 5,000X the bet.

Just like its buffalo predecessors, we’re out on the plains, with a wide open field as a background, and a wooden playing grid, filled with various animals. All in all, it’s a rather standard buffalo-themed game, just not with the buffalo, even when it comes to its soundtrack and sound effects. You can play the game on most notepads, mobiles, and desktops.

The lower-paying symbols are 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. Creating a win with 6 of the same symbols will pay out 1X to 2X the bet. The higher-paying symbols are a ram, a wolf, a bear, an eagle, and the titular bison. Landing a win with 6 of the same symbols pays out 3.75X to 7.5X the bet. Then there are the two Special Symbols, the standard Wild and Scatter Symbols, which we will talk more about in the Feature Section.

Final Thoughts on Charge Bison

This isn’t exactly a 2026 release, as TaDa Gaming has sneakily taken a 2021 release and just changed some animals and added cleaner graphics, while leaving the rest as it was half a decade ago. Back with the original release of Charge Buffalo, even then, it wasn’t all that impressive to us, even though it has definitely found its own playerbase thanks to its simplicity. But this is a reskin, and at least for us, not a very exciting one, so we’re not so sure how successful the Charge Bison will fare in comparison, especially in today’s modern market. However, the small changes we did receive, such as the new graphics, are more than welcome, and can, in some sense, make the game feel more like an upgraded version than a typical rerelease.

When it comes to gameplay, the loop predates even the original release in 2021, as it is one of the most basic feature sets out there, almost as old as the buffalo-and-bison theme itself. We enjoy classic set-ups, but after so many years of the same formula, we kinda want to see at least something added to spice up the same spins we’ve been doing for decades. Charge Bison could’ve been the perfect sequel to do exactly this, but instead delivers on the same boring Wild Symbol paylines in the base game. That isn’t to say that it can’t pay out, but you should note that the paytable isn’t exactly the strongest, so you definitely need the help of the added Multipliers in the bonus game to really hit it off.

Charge Bison is a reskinned version of Charge Buffalo, bringing back the same Multiplier Wilds and Free Spins combo, this time with a new head honcho.
