As we mentioned before, Indigo Magic likes to experiment with all kinds of themes and settings, but for the most part keeps to true and tested genres, and this is kinda where Candy Treasures 3 Reels finds itself. The game’s presentation is more or less your typical candy-themed game, however, it lacks interesting visuals or anything to really engage with, aside from the random capybara. But, even so, that isn’t enough to stop the game from being easily forgettable, as there is very little that really pops out, and the half-empty background doesn’t really help their case. This is a bit of a strange case, as even the original Candy Treasures had a better presentation, and we’ve somehow gone back a few steps.
Gameplay-wise, it’s kinda the same way, even if we do think that the small package of features does offer some pretty good spins. Being on a 3x3 playing grid usually means that there isn’t much to be done feature-wise, and Indigo Magic, yet again, leans on something true and tested and ops for a Cash Collect formula, which plays identically to games released a decade ago. The one thing we might think is a bit unique is the way the Multipliers are treated, resetting and doubling on every 3rd spin, but that isn’t exactly enough to make the game feel remarkable. While we do appreciate the attempt, Candy Treasures 3 Reels fails to really make an impression, both through its presentation and gameplay, to bring us back for more spins.
