Ancient Egyptian themes, whether centered on pyramids, gods, pharaohs, or all of these combined, have always been a popular choice for studios to rely on whenever they need to throw something together. However, Wishbone has done something we have to applaud them for, that being, choosing a rather forgotten God and creating an entire series around it, which does help these games stand out a bit. But even with that said, we can’t pretend like this is our favorite series in the world, as many of the games usually lacked in some sort of compartment. On the other hand, Ammit Treasure 2 EverWheel is a faithful sequel to the original 2024 release and has done well to build on the foundation, so let’s go over the gameplay updates.
Starting off, the game’s gameplay loop is mostly centered around the Coin Collect mechanic, as the paytable isn’t exactly the best to rely on. The Coin and Collect Symbols work fine enough, and the payouts can be rather solid. However, we are a bit split on the Coin Multiplier, which increases the longer you go without hitting a trigger to collect, maxing out at 2,250 Symbols. To us, that’s quite extreme and over the top, and not something we really paid much attention to outside of the lower Multiplier tiers. The newest addition is the Prize Wheel, which works like many other Prize Wheels and is, more or less, a randomly triggered Win Guarantee with some fun prizes, but nothing to really rely on. The bonus game comes back, working just like how it did in the original 2024 release, with the same Bonus Guarantee feature, which is a welcome sight, as there’s nothing worse than spending long sessions with few, low-paying, or near non-existent, bonus games. All in all, Ammit Treasure 2 EverWheel is just an upgraded version of its predecessor, but it doesn’t do more than just build on an already okay, albeit slightly outdated, foundation.
