3 Tree Tricksters 2 is a casino slot from Light & Wonder, where we find ourselves in the tree tops with a gang of coconut-loving monkeys. As the title would suggest, this is a sequel to the 2025 release, 3 Tree Tricksters, which featured the same gang of monkeys with their hoard of treasure-filled coconuts. In the prequel, the gameplay centered on the Cash Fall mechanic and Coin Symbols, which could lead to a 3-Pot-like Free Spins bonus game with bonuses like extra spins, Jackpots, or more Coin Symbols. While we thought the game wasn’t anything major, it was an okay slot experience that delivered on a couple of fun spins, and, nearly a year later, we sadly get a rather samey sequel. The gameplay loop is, for the most part, the exact same in 3 Tree Tricksters 2, however, with the new addition of the Wheel Wild and Wheel Bonus, which can award additional Cash Prizes, Jackpots, and Free Spins. While not a major sequel, those who enjoyed the first release might instantly click with the familiar spins and features, while the new volatile Wheel Bonus might just be enough to gain a new audience, albeit not the greatest feature we’ve ever seen.

Wild Symbols

Wheel Wild Bonus
The Wheel Wild Symbol can also substitute for regular paying symbols and can land on reels 2-4, but what’s more is that it has a chance to randomly trigger the Wheel Bonus. The Wheel Bonus grants you one spin on a wheel filled with Multiplier Prizes, Major or Mega Jackpots, and the Free Spins feature. Final Thoughts on 3 Tree Tricksters 2
The original 3 Tree Tricksters, while maybe feeling like a bit of a jungle party, wasn’t all that impressive in theme, visuals, or even gameplay, but, even so, it was enjoyed by many players, enough apparently to get a sequel at least. Visually, the sequel is the exact same as the original, just now, the game is set at night, and while it may look slightly different, it doesn’t actually help differentiate the two games. However, we have the massive bonus wheel to maybe help with that. Maybe we expected a bit more, but for being released a year later, we had kinda hoped to at least see something different, as the only real difference in visuals is the game’s high-paying symbols.
When we first reviewed the original prequel, we thought its spins, while rather straightforward, had potential for exciting moments thanks to the different Free Spins bonuses. While the same could be said in the sequel, it just doesn’t hit the same the second time around. The new addition of the Bonus Wheel, while solid, feels detached from the rest of the game and doesn’t actually make a large enough impact to really make the spins feel like a new game. So, even when we say that we still enjoy the spins in 3 Tree Tricksters 2, we feel it’s also a bit lackluster as a sequel, and it almost seems like the studio didn’t know what to add, so they opted for a Bonus Wheel, which they seem to love so much if we take a look at their Huff N’ Puff series. All in all, Light & Wonder delivers on an enjoyable experience, but one that we feel like we’ve played before and aren’t super interested in going back to.
